Established in 1977, under a federal program, the original purpose of the Senior Center was to provide educational programming and nutritious meals.

Today, it is so much more. Now, we have a different interpretation of that purpose. It has become a place to promote successful aging by encouraging seniors to continue physically, intellectually, and emotionally healthy lifestyles.

It is no secret that friends make a person's life more enjoyable. The Senior Center has become a place to meet old friends and make new ones. It allows us to spend quality time socializing. Here, everyone can share in the fun, enjoy meals together, and discuss important issues.

Whether you are a "Long John", who stays for the winter, or a "Snow Bird", who flies south at the first snowflake, you will find a cozy nest here, at the Senior Center.
